THE WIND IS BLOWING
The fan is swirling here, the wind is blowing there.
Broken objects can either be repaired or dumped. A home is always filled with intact objects so as to be a home. No one realises we are building this home amongst the swinging fragile cracks.
Collecting broken jades, porcelains, various objects... to reconstruct the wind power kinetic installation via metal craft, setting in a scene of daily household. The fan is regularly blowing the fragments, the light gently passes through the cracks in between the objects. Next to it, is a TV looping the movement of the branch and leaves under the natural wind.
An art installation composed of a fan, TV, metalsmith installation, dried leaves and porcelain fragments. The fan is regularly swirling; the dried leaves gently move on the metalsmith installation; the TV is playing the swinging plants by the streets; the porcelain cracks are being mounted as between completion and disintegration.
To present the beauty of the natural and unnatural flaws; the relation between static state and motion; the tension between noise and peace – this extends the imagination towards ceramics. Meanwhile, it reviews the connection between individuals and collectives.
