Grateful for the right decision I made a decade ago.

Crystal Ring
As we commemorate our 9th wedding anniversary, I can't help but reflect on the day we decided to join our lives together. We were young and our choice to marry surprised those around us, their murmurs of a shotgun wedding filled the air, their words slurred with judgement.
But let it be known that our union was born out of pure love and a genuine desire to build a life together as husband and wife, harmoniously united. It was during those early days that my fiancé, who is now my beloved spouse, presented me with an engagement ring adorned with a delicate diamond, symbolising the depth of our commitment.
Interestingly, during that time, dear friends gifted me a large crystal ring, perhaps envisioning a glamorous wedding affair. However, the ring felt cumbersome and ill-fitting, lacking the grace I sought. It was a departure from the traditional wedding customs we chose not to follow.
We even opted to forgo the extravagance of pre-wedding photos, opting instead for a simple and understated celebration of our love.
Every time I catch a glimpse of that crystal ring, it serves as a reminder of the impulsive and spontaneous version of myself from years ago. I am grateful for the love shown by our dear friends, but I still choose to keep that ring aside, preserving its place as a clear symbol of their support and presence.
May the crystal ring undergo its own transformation, etching the memory of our cherished friends into its very essence. It will forever resonate as a blessing from those who have stood by my side, unwavering in their support, as I embrace life with pride.

Design
The crystal on the ring was the most cherished part that the owner wanted to preserve for a memorable purpose. Therefore, the designer embedded it onto the mirrored surface of the metal, creating a time tunnel for her to explore the present and the past.
When illuminated by light, the tunnel unfolds, revealing a space that belongs to the owner. At the end of the tunnel, a piece of mirrored metal is installed. Looking into the mirror, it creates the illusion of seeing oneself from 10 years ago, as if the current owner is reflecting upon her past self.
RE: move on from the past.
We move on to the future.
